Diversity
While working on the USF Psychology Student Diversity Committee (SDC), I am devoted to cultivating a welcoming, inclusive, and equitable environment across all communities. I seek to provide a collaborative space for people to enhance diversity representation in our science, employment, and partnership. I am committed to upholding my values of safety, well-being, and success for all members of our community to empower individuals to have the space to achieve their own personal goals. Currently, I serve as the Lead Program Manager on the LGBTQIA+ Subcommittee working on Queer projects and the Intern Coordinator for the Psychology Department SDC. Additionally in summer 2023, I served as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Graduate Intern at WWF in Washington, DC.
Queer Closet
The Queer Closet was created with the purpose of supplying students with free and accessible gender-affirming clothing and accessories. With a goal to provide dignity, access, and support to trans, nonbinary, and queer students who may feel and perform best with authentic expression. The Queer Cloest is currently looking for corporate sponsors to help fund start up costs as well as community partners to help keep apparel supplied.
LGBTQIA+ Monthly Figure Flyers
During each heritage month, I will create an infographic to highlight the accomplishments and activism that key figures in that respective cultural identity have accomplished. The flyers began in November 2022 for Indigenous American Heritage Month with the awe-inspiring Trudie Jackson. Multiple Figure Flyers will be made for each heritage month as follows:

-
February - African American History Month
-
March - National National Women’s History Month
-
March 13 to April 15 - National Deaf History Month
-
May - Asian Pacific American Heritage and Jewish American Heritage Month
-
June - LGBTQIA+ Pride Month
-
September 15th to October 15th - National Hispanic-Latino Heritage Month
-
October - National Disability Employment Awareness Month
-
November - National American Indian Heritage Month
Pride Discussion Group
We aim to make space for LGBTQIA+ graduate students who share similar identities by hosting an LGBTQIA+ Graduate Student Discussion Group!
This meeting will be a monthly, hour-long graduate student-led discussion group for LGBTQIA+ graduate students from the Psychology department at all USF campuses. This will provide graduate students with an opportunity to meet other members of the LGBTQIA+ community who are going through similar experiences.
The main goals are:
1. To provide community and support for LGBTQIA+ graduate students
2. To provide a safe space for discussion and advocacy and an arena for activism
3. To provide opportunities for social networking and professional growth both within and, ultimately, outside of one's department.
